Mount Sinai & St. Catherine’s Monastery From Sharm El Sheikh
🌙 Evening Pickup
Pickup from your hotel in Sharm El Sheikh around 20:00 by comfortable, air-conditioned vehicle. Travel overnight to Mount Sinai.
🏔️ Night Climb
Arrive at the mountain and meet your local Bedouin guide. Around 02:00 AM, start the climb to Mount Sinai. The ascent takes approximately 2–3 hours, depending on your pace.
🐪 Camel rides are available for part of the climb, up to the final section.
🌅 Sunrise at Mount Sinai
Reach the summit in time to watch the sunrise and enjoy beautiful panoramic views of the Sinai Mountains. After sunrise, begin the descent.
⛪ St. Catherine’s Monastery
Around 07:00 AM, visit St. Catherine’s Monastery, one of the oldest functioning Christian monasteries in the world. See the historic Burning Bush and explore the monastery grounds.
🚐 Return to Sharm El Sheikh
After the monastery visit, start the drive back to Sharm El Sheikh.

A must do. Very cold in January (abt -5 Celcius) Trail was not too tough, suitable for family. The mountain and sunrise views were just magnificient. Timely pick-up & drop off service. Friendly guide.

Very nice! Guides are very informative and provided free snacks and torches. We have severel breaks and coffee shops so the whole journey is not difficult to finish. The sunrise at the summit is astonishing, but remember to bring warm clothes or rent a blanket in the coffee shop. I had a flight to Cairo the next day afternoon and they dropped me off at the airport just in time!
